About The University of Warwick
Warwick is a world-leading university, with an acknowledged reputation for excellence in research and teaching, for innovation, and for links with business and industry.
Warwick initially admitted a small intake of graduate students in 1964 and took its first 450 undergraduates in October 1965. In October 2013, the student population was over 23,000 of which 9,775 are postgraduates. Around a third of the student body comes from overseas and over 120 countries are represented on the campus. Warwick now has 29 academic departments and over 50 research centres and institutes, in four Faculties: Arts, Medicine, Science and Social Sciences.
The University of Warwick partners with St Mary's University in Twickenham to deliver Warwick Summer School (WSS), a London-based Summer School, in July 2017. The Summer School will build on the great success of Warwick's Economics Summer School which has been running since 2014. WSS is a unique combination of learning and debating with renowned academics and guest speakers, living alongside your peers in a beautiful area of London, networking and socialising and enjoying a fun and engaging social program. WSS has all the advantages of easy access to central London but with the peace of a beautiful self-contained campus in the leafy suburb of Strawberry Hill. As well as central London the popular centres of Kingston and Richmond are close by so you'll find plenty of things to do.
