About University College London
UCL was founded in 1826 to open up university education in England to those who had been excluded from it. In 1878, it became the first university in England to admit women students on equal terms with men.

About UCL Summer School
With a wide range of modules on offer from many of our renowned academic departments, you can choose the subject best suited to your academic or personal interests.
Most modules are taught on the Bloomsbury campus and include lectures, seminars, group work as well as excursions and field trips to areas of interest in and around London.
The UCL Summer School is divided into two Sessions, each spanning three weeks. You can choose to attend Session One, Session Two or both. All students study one module per Session.

- You are expected to arrive on the day before the program starts for student dormitory check-in. Please refer to the host institution’s acceptance package for the arrival information.
- You should only depart after completion of the program.
This is a fee-paying program and HKUST students will bear the program fee and the costs for accommodation, meals, travel, visa, insurance, personal expenses and other administrative fees. The program fee covers the costs of all academic excursions. UCL also provides Summer School students with a pre-paid Oyster travel card, which can be topped up for personal travel, for use on London’s tubes, trains and buses.

You are eligible to apply for the program if you:
- will have completed Year 1 by the start of program; and
- have a cumulative CGA of 3.3 or above.

HKUST students must apply through the Global Student Programs Office. Individual direct application to UCL will not be accepted.
