About University of Oxford
As the oldest university in the English-speaking world, Oxford is a unique and historic institution. There is no clear date of foundation, but teaching existed at Oxford in some form in 1096 and developed rapidly from 1167.
Hertford College was founded in 1284 – it is one of the oldest of Oxford University’s 39 colleges. Located in the centre of historic Oxford, our beautiful college boasts the Bridge of Sighs, one of the most famous sights of the city.
About Advanced English Language and British Culture Programme
This programme is designed for students looking for a truly international perspective on their economics and business studies, developing English language skills and deepening understanding of British Culture. As well as high-level English language classes, lively discussions and debate, we invite noted economic experts to give lectures and workshops.

This is a fee-paying program and HKUST students will bear the program fees (GBP3,000) and the costs for travel, visa, insurance, personal expenses and other administrative fees. The program fees include the following:

HKUST students must apply through the Global Student Programs Office. Individual direct application to Hertford College, Oxford will not be accepted.

Step 2: The Host Institution Application (TO BE COMPLETED AFTER YOU ARE NOMINATED BY HKUST)
If you are nominated, you will be notified to submit a formal host institution application. Detailed information and application instructions will be available in due course.
The HKUST Study Abroad Financial Assistance aims to help local HKUST students with financing their study abroad programs. More details can be found at HKUST Study Abroad website.

Students will be staying in Oxford University accommodation. No separate application is required.
